Mt. Rainier National Forest - Edible fruits, nuts, mushrooms, and berries may be gathered by hand for personal use or consumption with some restrictions.  One gallon per person per day may be gathered. 
North Cascades National Forest - The gathering or possession of edible fruits, berries, and fungi is limited to one liter (1.0 quart) per person per day. Unlimited amounts of apples may be gathered or possessed for non-commercial use.
